In fact, several of the tracks could belong in films. It feels like something from John CarpenterвЂ™s They Live, which is no bad thing. Playground is spacious and sinister with its ominous, stripped down twangs, while the accompanying clavichord-esque synths offer a gothic, wistful counterpoint and the insistent percussion keeps everything moving at a steady pace. Die Anywhere Else, on the other hand, is a pulsing, vital pop track, driven by an irrepressible, catchy synth riff that will leave you smiling for days. Like many other pieces in the soundtrack, itвЂ™s infectious and catchy, worming its way into your head and steadfastly refusing to leave.Д«ack to the Holler is soothing and melancholy, its guitar, keyboard and strings awash with small-town regret, perfectly encapsulating the feeling of returning to a place you thought youвЂ™d left behind. The opening title sets the scene for what is to come with a thrilling introduction: fuzzy guitar, a throbbing bass line, and eerie whistles (which recall the X-Files theme tune) set up the mystery at the gameвЂ™s heart and also the downtrodden setting of Possum Springs.

Composed by co-creator Alex Holowka and spanning three volumes, itвЂ™s a treasure trove of music, allowing Holowka to explore a range of ideas, textures and sounds.
